Ridgebury Farm Membership Terms and Conditions

These Membership Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Ridgebury Farm Membership Program (“Membership”). By enrolling in, purchasing, or using a Ridgebury Farm membership, the Member (“you”) agrees to these Terms. Ridgebury Riders, Inc, d/b/a, Ridgebury Farm. 1. Membership Term and Renewal

Memberships are active for twelve (12) months from the date of enrollment and operate on a rolling annual basis.

Memberships do not automatically renew, unless the Member opts in to auto-renewal at initial registration; renewal must be completed manually by the Member each year to remain active.

2. Membership Composition

  • Each membership covers up to six (6) individuals total, including:

  • Up to two (2) adults,

  • One (1) caregiver, and

  • Children or dependents of the household.

  • Memberships are intended for immediate family and designated caregivers only and are not transferable between households or unrelated individuals.

Ridgebury Farm reserves the right to request verification of household or caregiver status at any time.

3. Membership Benefits

  • Membership benefits, including any events, discounts, or special access, are described in Ridgebury Farm’s current membership materials and are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

  • Any discounts or promotional offers are valid only at the time of initial membership enrollment and do not apply to renewals or upgrades, unless expressly stated in writing by Ridgebury Farm.

  • Complimentary memberships (if applicable) are valid only while the member is actively participating in therapeutic or qualified farm programming and will automatically terminate if participation ceases.

4. Farm Access, Check-In, and Conduct

  • Ridgebury Farm is a working farm and therapy facility, and is not open to the general public.

  • All members must check in at the office upon arrival for any visit, program, or event.

  • Members and guests must follow all posted signage, safety instructions, and restricted-area designations at all times.

  • Members must conduct themselves respectfully toward staff, animals, and other visitors.

  • Ridgebury Farm reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership privileges for any behavior that endangers others, violates farm policies, or disrupts the therapeutic environment.

  • In the event of revocation, no refunds will be provided.

5. Guest Policy

  • Members may bring guests to the farm only with prior registration at the office before entering the property.

  • The hosting member is fully responsible for the conduct and safety of their guests at all times.

  • Members acknowledge that they accept all liability for any injury, damage, or loss caused by or incurred by their guests during any visit or activity on Ridgebury Farm property.

  • Guests are required to comply with all farm rules, staff instructions, and safety guidelines.

6. Minors and Dependent Supervision

  • Minors and dependents as well as anyone who require assistance or supervision may not be left on the property unattended at any time.

  • The responsible adult or caregiver for any minor, dependent or person requiring assistance must remain on the premises for the duration of the individual’s visit or program session, unless otherwise arranged in advance with the supervising therapist or Ridgebury Farm office staff.

  • Ridgebury Farm staff are not responsible for the supervision of unattended minors or dependents outside of scheduled, supervised programming.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

  • Membership fees are non-refundable after the earlier of:

  • Requests for cancellation prior to first use or within two business days must be submitted in writing to Ridgebury Farm.

8. Non-Transferability

Memberships are non-transferable and may not be assigned, sold, or shared with other households or organizations.

9. Modifications

Ridgebury Farm reserves the right to change, suspend, or terminate membership benefits, terms, or pricing at any time without prior notice, consistent with the organization’s charitable mission and operational needs.

10. Liability and Waiver

Members understand that Ridgebury Farm is an active working farm, and participation in farm activities may involve inherent risks, including interaction with animals, uneven terrain, and natural outdoor conditions.

By participating in any activity or entering the premises, the member (and their family, caregiver, or guests) agrees to abide by the Ridgebury Farm Liability Waiver and Release, which applies to all members and visitors.

Ridgebury Farm shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation in farm activities or events, except where prohibited by law.

11. Photo/Video Release & Opt-Out

  • Permission: By entering Ridgebury Farm property or participating in programs or events, you grant Ridgebury Farm the right to photograph, film, and record you, your family members, and guests (“Images”) and to use such Images—without compensation—for lawful, mission-related purposes, including education, program materials, social media, website, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

  • No Identifying Information: Ridgebury Farm will not publish names, medical details, or personally identifying information without separate written consent. Images of therapy sessions will not be captured or used without specific written consent in compliance with privacy laws.
